Fresenius Medical Care Supports Patients and Staff Affected by the earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand

March 29, 2025 | Media Statement

Press Release

Our thoughts are with all those affected by the devastating earthquake in Myanmar that was felt as far as Thailand.

Based on initial reports, we can confirm that all Fresenius Medical Care employees and patients across our 27 facilities in Thailand are accounted for and safe at this time. Additionally, we are continuing to closely monitor the situation and are in touch with our employees in the region. Out of an abundance of caution to prioritize safety, our engineers are evaluating the structural foundation of our facilities and making any necessary repairs.

The company also proactively contacts patients receiving dialysis services from us and work with our dedicated local care teams to ensure they receive their life-sustaining dialysis treatments and support schedule adjustments.

We encourage patients to remain in close contact with their local dialysis center throughout the aftershocks and to contact the local country emergency hotline.

Fresenius Medical Care is committed to helping ensure that every person in need of dialysis treatment can receive care, regardless of their usual provider. In case of medical emergencies, patients should call their local country emergency hotline.

Fresenius Medical Care continues to prioritize the safety of patients and staff at all our Fresenius Kidney Care outpatient dialysis centers.
